Define the project basis
Review feedstock characteristics, target throughput, product objectives, utilities and site requirements before selecting a process configuration.
Chemical Engineering Partners
A new re-refinery starts with the available feedstock, intended base oil products and local project conditions. CEP brings process technology, engineering and operating experience to those decisions.
Technology. Engineering. Operating experience.
Based in California, Chemical Engineering Partners has provided re-refining technology since 1982, with project experience across five continents.
Discuss your re-refining project →Review feedstock characteristics, target throughput, product objectives, utilities and site requirements before selecting a process configuration.
CEP provides process licensing and basic engineering, with detailed engineering support and modular options developed around the agreed project scope.
Consider permitting, equipment delivery, construction, commissioning and operator preparation as part of the project schedule.
Relevant project experience
CEP provided basic engineering, hydrotreating technology and detailed design for the Universal Lubricants re-refinery in Wichita, Kansas. The project used modular fabrication.
Universal Lubricants project reference →CEP’s hydrotreating route supports API Group II base oils. Some CEP plants produce API Group III with selected feedstocks; CEP-VGX is offered for API Group I projects. The appropriate route depends on feedstock, configuration and product objectives.
Share the project country, available used oil volume and composition, desired capacity and products, and any existing site or infrastructure. Preliminary information is enough to begin a discussion.
Your re-refining project
Define the project, select the process and develop the plant design.
Prepare your team for commissioning and operation.
Evaluate product quality, capacity and existing-plant improvements.
